F45 Training is opening a location on East 86th Street between Third and Lexington avenues (h/t @uesthings). The fitness center chain “offers innovative, high-intensity functional group workouts that are fast, fun and results-driven,” according to its website, claiming its members can burn 400-600 calories during their 45 minute sessions. F45 has workouts focused on resistance training and cardio (separately or as a hybrid class) as well as recovery training, which is focused on increasing flexibility and mobility. There are a handful of F45 locations in the city, including an outpost on Third Avenue between 54th and 55th streets.
Funny Pets NYC has leased a space at 1144 Second Avenue (between 60th and 61st streets), according to @TradedNY. The dog-walking and grooming business currently has a location at 512 East 80th Street. We’ve reached out to them to confirm whether they are expanding or relocating. According to the announcement, Funny Pets is paying $102 per foot for the 1,400 square foot space, which comes out to $142,800 per year or $11,900 per month.

According to @TradedNY, Olya Spa has leased a space at 1150 Second Avenue (between 60th and 61st streets). The 1,400~ square foot space went for $103 per foot (per year), according to the outlet, which would mean the business agreed to pay about $144,200 per year (or a bit over $12,000 per month). The space previously housed Pleasure Chest, a sex toy shop which has since relocated to 810 Lexington Avenue (between 62nd and 63rd streets).

SleekCare Spa’s reviews are positive so far, with customers complimenting the space’s calming atmosphere and the quality of its services.
Nightlys, Massimo Lusardi’s new restaurant at 1496 Second Avenue (corner of 78th Street) will be officially opening its doors on Wednesday, October 23. Lusardi also owns Uva, Uva Next Door and Key & Heels, all on the same block, and Nightlys will be replacing Quality Eats. “A fresh take on the classic New York bistro, Nightly’s brings the quintessential neighborhood joint into the present,” states a press representative for the restaurant. “Featuring craft cocktails, an expansive wine list, and dishes that include a mix of nostalgic throwbacks and treasured staples, Nightly’s serves as an approachable but stylish clubhouse for New Yorkers, merging European elegance with New York City flair.” Some menu highlights we’ve been made aware of include cod roasted in a banana leaf with fennel marmalade and lemon butter sauce, a double smash burger, and a special two-tiered salad.
