LaserAway, the skincare and cosmetic-dermatology chain, has signed a lease for a new Upper East Side location at 242 East 86th Street (between Second and Third avenues), Commercial Observer reports. The company took a 10-year lease on an 1,800-square-foot ground-floor space that will become its 15th location in the city. LaserAway specializes in laser hair removal, Botox, CoolSculpting, tattoo removal, facials, and micro-needling, and already runs a nearby outpost at 1430 Second Avenue (between 74th and 75th streets).

Func Fit, a new longevity-focused fitness concept, is aiming to open in November at 1251 Lexington Avenue (between 84th and 85th streets). The studio comes from Amanda Freeman and Vanessa Chu, the duo behind boutique-fitness mainstay SLT and the stretching studio Stretch*d, who built Func Fit around training for the long haul rather than short-term burn. Its signature session runs 50 minutes across five 10-minute stations, moving members from a whole-body vibration plate to a reformer-style resistance machine, weighted-vest incline treadmill walking, and a free-weight and kettlebell strength block, before finishing with a circuit that mixes cardio with functional work like box jumps and dead hangs. The studio is taking waitlist sign-ups now.Wingstop, the fast-growing fried-chicken chain, is preparing to open an Upper East Side location at 215 East 86th Street (between Second and Third avenues), h/t @uesthings. Known for its cooked-to-order wings, tenders, and boneless bites, the Texas-based chain lets customers mix and match from a lineup of signature flavors that runs from lemon pepper and garlic parmesan to the fiery mango habanero, with fries and other sides rounding out the menu. The forthcoming storefront adds to a growing Manhattan footprint for the brand.
Sézane, the French womenswear label with a devoted stateside following, is opening a store on the Upper East Side at 1045 Madison Avenue (between 79th and 80th streets). Founded by Morgane Sézalory as an online shop in 2013, the brand has built its name on an easygoing Parisian aesthetic of lace blouses, well-cut denim, and unfussy dresses, rounded out with shoes, jewelry, accessories, and a bit of home goods. Its boutiques are styled as apartment-like spaces meant to evoke the founder’s Paris flat, and the Madison Avenue location will be its first on the Upper East Side, joining existing New York shops in Nolita and Williamsburg.

T Shirt Shoppe, a multi-brand women’s fashion boutique, is set to open a location near the corner of East 71st Street and Third Avenue, h/t @uesthings. Despite the name, the shop is a full contemporary clothing destination, stocking denim, tees, dresses, sweaters, resortwear, and loungewear from labels like Agolde, Citizens of Humanity, Moussy, and James Perse. Founded in 2015 by best friends Ginette Gammal and Ashley Feldman, who got their start selling out of a basement, the boutique has since grown to storefronts in Brooklyn and at the Jersey Shore, and its website is now teasing the Upper East Side outpost as “coming soon.”Amado On Third, a woman’s clothing store, is relocating from 1322A Third Avenue to 1301 Third Avenue (between 74th and 75th streets). Pepe & Vera, an Italian restaurant, will be opening at 1712 First Avenue (between 88th and 89th streets). They don’t have an opening date yet, but you can follow them at @pepe.veranyc on Instagram for updates. The space was previously home to Hollybrook Lane, which just opened in 2024.
