The shop, at 1202 Lexington Avenue between 81st and 82nd streets, opened on September 22, owner Ellie Turkmen told East Side Feed.Turkmen said the name was chosen for its meaning. “The number 7 carries a deep, universally significant story of completeness and intuition, while CHARM represents that magnetic, pleasing quality that effortlessly draws people in,” she said. “Together, they define our mission: to bring extraordinary, captivating pieces into your life and home.”
The store describes itself as a hybrid of a consignment shop and a modern concept store. According to its website, its home section includes consignment home goods, original artwork, statement light fixtures and decor, while its clothing and accessories offerings include high-end clothing, artisanal jewelry and more. There’s also a selection of lifestyle gifts and glassware. Turkmen added that the shop carries leather goods as well, and that its inventory is “ever-changing.”

Because it’s a consignment shop, 7Charm also gives locals a way to sell their own pieces. Turkmen called it “an effortless way to buy and sell” curated items.
Sustainability is a big part of the pitch. “We believe great design shouldn’t come at the cost of our planet,” Turkmen said. “Every pre-loved item in our store tells a story waiting to be curated into its next chapter, with a second chance at life.” The shop also says it partners with local charities.
