Halloween Events on the Upper East Side

Here’s a running list of fun Halloween events taking place on and near the Upper East Side. We’ll add to this list as we discover more, and feel free to email us if you know of something we should be including. Please double check all dates and times before going!

Halloween Dance Party at Bohemian National Hall
321 East 73rd Street | Saturday, October 28 at 7 p.m.
Ballroom dancing led by professionals who’ll show you the “tricks and treats of dancing the night away.” There will also be a Halloween costume contest and buffet. Tickets ($63.72) can be purchased here.

UES Halloween Bash at The UES
1707 Second Avenue | Saturday, October 28 at 8 p.m.
This event will include a live DJ, costume contest with prizes, “Spooky Cocktails & Snacks,” and tickets ($45) will include “entry to the Storage Room, complimentary tequila, and swag bag.” More details here.

Moulin Rouge Halloween Horror Party
Liederkranz Club, 6 East 87th Street | Saturday, October 28 at 7 p.m.
An all-inclusive party with two levels of buffets, open bars, dance floors, DJs and decorations. Tickets start at $71.59. More details here.

Central Park Pumpkin Flotilla
Charles A. Dana Discovery Center (East Side at 110th Street) | Thursday, October 26 from 4 – 7 p.m.
Watch jack-o-lanterns float down the Harleem Meer, and feel free to carve and bring your own to join in the flotilla. This is a free event open to all ages; tickets are not required. Please learn more at www.centralparknyc.org.

CHN Spooktacular
92nd between Park and Madison avenues | Tuesday, October 31 from 4—6 p.m.
This annual event is sponsored by Carnegie Hill Neighbors, and this will be its 13th year. Packaged candy will be given out (mini chocolates, etc), a live DJ will play “child-appropriate music,” and kids will get to participate in a freeze dance party. Details here.

Cocktails & Culture: New York Movies Halloween Bash
1220 Fifth Avenue | Friday, October 27 at 6:00 p.m.
The Museum of the City of New York throws this party every Halloween, and this year’s theme is New York movies, which means guests are expected to dress up as their favorite character from Big Apple cinema (examples they include are Shaft, Holly Golightly, King Kong, Spiderman and the Ghostbusters). There will be live DJ performances on the museum’s terrace in addition to a costume contest with prizes. Food will be provided by Empanada Mama and cocktails will be served at the MCNY bar. Tickets are $20 for the general public and $15 for museum members. More info here.

Asphalt Screams
Asphalt Green, 555 East 90th Street | Friday, October 27 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The annual event will return with a haunted maze, games and more. Details here.

A Halloween Tea Party
Let’s Dress Up! 345 East 85th Street | Sunday, October 29 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The party space welcomes 3- to 8-year-olds for a 90 minute tea party. “Wear your costume or one of our dresses and join us for tea!” Tickets are $45 and details can be found here.
