Business Openings: Dwiggs Yoga, Skyline Window Coverings, More

Darryl Wiggins–a personal fitness trainer and the owner of D.Wiggs Fitness Training Studio, located at 1612 York Avenue (between 85th and 86th streets)–has expanded with a new space just down the street. Dwiggs Yoga is now up and running at 1643 York Avenue (between 86th and 87th streets), which was previously home to a dry cleaning business. Wiggins confirmed to East Side Feed that his original location will remain open.

Skyline Window Coverings recently announced the opening of its new showroom at 979 Third Avenue (between 58th and 59th streets). “The new flagship showroom features a wide selection of Hunter Douglas window treatments, including blinds, shades, and shutters,” states a press release. “Customers can also find expert advice from Skyline’s experienced design consultants.” This is Skyline’s seventh location, and its first in New York.

A new Taco Bell opened about a month ago at 1843 First Avenue (between 95th and 96th streets), right next to the corner Domino’s. We first discovered this from @uesthings on Instagram.

@TradedNY reported two recent UES leases, one of which was Daniel Rafaelov Hair Salon at 214 East 85th Street (between Second and Third avenues). The building’s retail space is split, with one space currently occupied by Spoonable Spirits (which confirmed they won’t be closing). The new hair salon will be replacing MyCityOasis, a plant shop which has relocated to 157 East 86th Street.

@TradedNY also reports that Ideal Coffee Shop has leased a space at 346 East 59th Street (between First and Second avenues), which was previously home to A-Zen Spa.
